Our approach

How Skydive Choreography works and why
everyone who jumps with us becomes part of the magic.

Approach

Our goals

Skydive Choreography is focused on developing the in-air skills and awareness that enable formations to grow large in size without compromising safety. We bring groups of skydivers together, take time to understand their personal skills and plan events and skydives for them that are safe, successful, challenging and fun!

The founding goals of Skydive Choreography remain true:

  • To give intermediate and experienced jumpers an environment where they can progress their skills and prepare for participation in challenging events across the world.
  • To safely develop the large formation skills of lower experienced jumpers so they can participate in quality big-ways.
  • To generate a culture where participating jumpers support each other; taking from the system to learn, and then 'lending back their skills' to strengthen lower experienced groups. Hence generating the same learning environment for others as they benefited from themselves.

What we offer

Skydive Choreography caters for a wide range of experience levels with its events. There is no coaching fee or extra charge for organised skydives. Thanks to our host dropzones, free video (for debriefing purposes) is almost always included for groups over eight people in size.

Because we are ambitious big way jumpers ourselves and often work with other organisers. We are able to provide references that open doors to eventual participation in high level events and world records.

Minimum requirements

Skydivers wishing to participate in beginner groups must have 50 jumps post FS1.

Regardless of jump numbers, all skydivers must be able to demonstrate controlled 4 way skills and be confident tracking and under canopy.

Results of our approach

By focusing on specific levels and encouraging more experienced skydivers to step down a level to support those who are up and coming, Skydive Choreography makes every experienced jumper part of the success of those who follow in their footsteps. The result of this circle of support has been to create a big way family in the UK that has celebrated many of its original participants progressing onto high level big way events around the world. We also stand in awe of some of our newest members achieving records (Brit Chicks) with little more than 100 jumps.

The real testimony to the success of its philosophy is that to date almost all the original jumpers still attend the full spectrum of the many events held in the UK each year.
